In these countries, women give chocolates to the men in their life. If the man is a significant other, they may also include handmade gifts or flowers. However, one month later on March 14th, men return the gifts of chocolate and more on what is called “White Day”. Korea also celebrates “Black Day” a month after. This is a time for singles to come together, eat jajangmyeon noodles, and commiserate.
