We meet the commanders and frontline men in early 1918 at the moment of maximum jeopardy. Germany is unleashing the original 'shock and awe' of Operation Michael, a battle plan to sweep British forces off the map. Advancing 60 kilometres in less than three days the German monster seems unstoppable -- but hope is on the horizon. Opposing the Germans are the British, Australian, Canadian, and French forces, with the Americans arriving shortly to join the fight.
