Alone: Frozen

New Series Thursday August 11

In Alone: Frozen, six former Alone participants take on an extreme new challenge: surviving on their own for 50 days in the deep freeze of the Canadian Winter. 500k goes to the winner. Unlike the original series, participants will have little time to prep for winter and will be thrust into extreme conditions from Day 1.  All footage will be self-shot by the participants. They’ll have a limited number of special, winter weather items they can bring and as always, they’ll have the option to tap-out whenever they want. Filming location: Labrador, Canada.

American Pickers

All New Monday 9ep

The American Pickers are on a mission to recycle America, even if it means diving into countless piles of grimy junk or getting chased off a gun-wielding homeowner’s land. Hitting back roads from coast to coast, the Pickers earn a living by restoring forgotten relics to their former glory, transforming one person’s trash into another’s treasure. The show follows the team as they scour the country for hidden gems in junkyards, basements, garages and barns, meeting quirky characters and hearing their amazing stories. If you think the antique business is all about upscale boutiques and buttoned-up dealers, this show may change your mind – and teach you a thing or two about American history along the way.

The Machines that Built America & The Food that Built America

Sundays starting at 8ep

Radio. Phones. Airplanes. Motorcycles. Tractors. Home Appliances. Power Tools. These are Machines That Built America. This docuseries reveals the surprising stories and rivalries behind the groundbreaking innovations that turned America into a superpower. Blending dramatic reenactments and archival footage with interviews from experts, biographers, and others, The Machines That Built America brings to life some of America’s most storied inventors: Nikola Tesla, William Harley, Alexander Graham Bell, Duncan Black, Alonzo Decker, and many more. In eight episodes, viewers will meet these larger-than-life characters, inhabit their rivalries, and ride the rollercoaster of triumph and failure as they search for a breakthrough that will change humanity.

The series that introduced the world to the titans that invented, innovated, and propagated is back for a new season. Food entrepreneurs like Milton Hershey, Oscar Mayer, and the McDonald brothers have literally been household names, but you don’t know their stories. Before they were brands, they were brilliant, sometimes ruthless, visionaries who revolutionized food and changed the landscape of America forever. This season turns the lens on a new selection of bold pioneers behind such iconic foods as Jell-O, Subway, Wendy’s, and more.

The Proof is Out There & The UnXplained

Fridays starting at 9ep

The Proof is Out There investigates the world’s most mysterious videos, photos, and audio recordings, and uses the best technology and experts to render a credible verdict. Each episode analyzes and passes verdicts on several seemingly impossible things caught on film, including giant beasts, UFOS, apocalyptic sounds, hairy humans, alleged mutants from the deep, conspiracies, and many other cases. Host and veteran journalist Tony Harris takes nothing for granted in a quest for answers, tracking down eyewitnesses, putting each photo or film through a battery of tests, calling out the hoaxes, and highlighting the most credible evidence in an attempt to better understand our world.

From the producers of Ancient Aliens and The Curse of Oak Island comes The UnXplained, a one-hour, non-fiction series that explores the world’s most fascinating, strange and inexplicable mysteries. From alleged UFO encounters to sudden disappearances to evil possessions, series host William Shatner attempts to get to the truth behind the most bizarre and mysterious events ever reported. With the help of the world’s top scientists, first-hand “experiencer” accounts, and dramatic reenactments, viewers gain shocking insight into what’s really happening–and why.
